Children’s Health and Vaccinations
Vaccinations protect your child from serious illnesses by strengthening their immune system. Our doctors follow the National Childhood Immunisation Schedule (NCIS), providing essential vaccines free for Singapore citizens, just like polyclinics.
Essential Vaccinations
(Free for Singapore Citizens)
Singapore’s National Childhood Immunisation Schedule outlines key vaccinations that are administered from birth to early childhood. Here’s a look at the schedule:
- At Birth – BCG (D1), Hepatitis B (D1)
- 2 Months – 6-in-1 (D1)
- 4 Months – 5-in-1 (D2), PCV (D1)
- 6 Months – 6-in-1 (D3), PCV (D2)
- 12 Months – MMR (D1), Varicella (D1), PCV (D3)
- 15 Months – MMRV (D2)
- 18 Months – 5-in-1 (D4)
After 18 months, your child can receive an annual influenza vaccine, which is also fully subsidized for Singapore citizens until 5 years of age.
Optional Vaccinations (Not Subsidized)
- Rotavirus Vaccine: 2 doses, 4 weeks apart (administered between 1.5 to 6 months old)
While not subsidized, this vaccine can prevent severe gastrointestinal illness, offering peace of mind to parents.

Frequently Asked Questions
How can I pay for these vaccinations?
- Essential Vaccinations: These vaccines are free for Singapore citizens as part of the National Childhood Immunisation Schedule (NCIS). No payment is required for these vaccines.
- Optional Vaccinations: For optional vaccines, like the Rotavirus vaccine, you can pay using cash, NETS, or credit card at our clinic.
How long does the immunity from these vaccines last?
- Long-Term Protection: Many of the vaccines in the National Childhood Immunisation Schedule provide long-term immunity. Some, like the Hepatitis B, BCG, and MMR vaccines, offer lifelong immunity in most cases.
- Annual Protection: The influenza vaccine needs to be administered annually as the flu virus strains change each year.
What are the potential side effects of these vaccines?
- Common Side Effects: Most children experience mild side effects like redness, swelling, or soreness at the injection site, mild fever, or irritability. These side effects are normal and resolve on their own.
- Serious Reactions: Serious allergic reactions are extremely rare, but our doctors are trained to manage them if they occur. Our clinic follows strict safety protocols to ensure your child’s safety.
